How to Play

Froccer is a very simple game. You divide how ever many players are there into 2 equal teams. There is a goal on each side of the playing field. We use Pugg goals as our goals, but goals can really be anything that you have! NO GOALKEEPERS IN FROCCER! Make a perimeter around the goal, usually around 4-5 feet. No defensive or offensive players are allowed in this perimeter. The game starts with each team of on their respective sides. A coin toss starts the game. The winner of the coin toss can either throw off, or receive the disc at the beginning of the game. Once the coin toss has been won, the game starts. With the each team behind their respective goals, the team throwing first throws to the opposite team, the froccer has begun. In froccer, first one to 7 goals ends the play. You must win by 2. After 7 you take a break and switch sides. The best of 3 games to 7 wins the match.
Objective: The object of froccer is to get the frisbee into the other team’s net. This results in 1 point. If you have the frisbee in your hands, you cannot move. You can pivot around on one foot, but moving is prohibited. You can only hold the frisbee for a maximum of 5 seconds. Within these 5 seconds, you need to either pass, or shoot, or the disc will switch possession. The disc will also switch possession any time the disc hits the ground as a result of lost control (bad pass, block, deflection). When this happens, the other team takes control from the spot of the drop.
Any part of the body can be used to deflect the frisbee. However, no contact can be made to the person in possession of the frisbee. You cannot grab the disc while it is in another players hand. The only contact allowed is incidental contact going for the disc. Any unneeded roughness at the discretion of the captains of each team will result in that player being remove and their team playing down a man.
Scoring: A score is when the disc goes into the net. The disc cannot roll, or skip into the net. It needs to be on a fly in the net, and the entire frisbee must cross the plane of the goal or it does not count. Each time the disc goes into the net results in 1 point.
